About ReadyCalcs

ReadyCalcs is a growing library of calculators for everyday questions. Each published tool pairs an interactive calculation with a formula, a worked example, and an explanation of its inputs and assumptions.

What we aim to make useful

A useful calculator gives more than a number. We show the units that go into a formula, explain what the answer means, and point out where a simplified model can mislead. You can share a link containing your inputs so someone else can inspect the same calculation.

English pages are available at the main URLs. A smaller set of complete translations is available in Spanish, German, and French. A language option is shown only when that calculator exists in the selected language.

Scope and accountability

ReadyCalcs publishes general-purpose educational tools. We do not present these estimates as personal medical, financial, legal, or engineering advice. A health category, loan projection, or material estimate may be a useful starting point, but real decisions can depend on facts that a short form cannot capture.

The site currently does not claim named professional review for every calculator. References appear where they help check a definition, formula, or health-related interpretation. Our methodology page explains the checks currently used and their limits.

How to use the site

Start with a tool that matches your actual question, enter values in the stated units, and read the assumptions next to the result. If you share a calculation, remember that its link exposes the entered values to anyone who receives it. Review the result again before acting, especially after inputs or real-world conditions change.
